Abstrak

 

The problem of this research is how is the Madrasah Head's strategy in recruiting students at MTs Al Washliyah Desa Pakam? and What are the obstacles faced by the Head of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al Washliyah Desa Pakam in recruiting students?. This research is a type of qualitative research. The type of research whose findings are not obtained through statistical procedures or other forms of calculation and aims to reveal the symptoms holistically-contextually through the collection of data from natural settings by utilizing the researcher as a key instrument.

The results of this thesis, there are several strategies or efforts made by the Madrasah Head in recruiting new students in Al Wasliyah Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pakam Village is first, planning work programs in the Al Wasliyah MTs in Pakam Village. Second, visit directly to the home of prospective students or also called Home Visit. Third, holding a POMG (Student Parents Association and Teachers). Fourth, to involve students of Desa Pakam Madrasah Tsanawiyah in each regional activity. Fifth, distribute brochures, banners and the like in promotional activities. Sixth, giving free madrasa uniforms and free sports clothes for students who enroll in Al Wasliyah MTs. And take advantage of the halal bi halal event moment once a year.

Constraints in recruiting students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al Wasliyah in Pakam Village are the first infrastructure facilities. Infrastructure is something that is found in the Al Wasliyah Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Pakam Village which can indirectly influence the entry of new students in the Al Wasliyah Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pakam Village. Second, the low achievement of students in Al Wasliyah Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pakam Village. The low achievement of students in the Pakam Village Al Wasliyah MTs directly makes people in the surrounding area less interested in sending their children to the Al Wasliyah MTs in Pakam Village. Third, the perception of the surrounding community who still consider that education in the madrasah is still very far from the same public school and assume that the madrasah subject is only focused on religious knowledge. In this case the constraints of public perception are obstacles that must be resolved quickly by the madrasah.
