ABSTRAK

            Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan kerja, disiplin kerja, motivasi kerja dan kinerja dosen Politeknik Mandiri Bina Prestasi Medan.

            Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil sampel dari seluruh populasi dan mempergunakan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpul data. Sampel atau responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 70 orang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi linier berganda.

            Hasil penelitian pada hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan kerja, disiplin kerja, dan motivasi kerja secara serempak maupun parsial berpengaruh terhadap kinerja dosen Politeknik Mandiri Bina Prestasi Medan dan secara parsial yang paling berpengaruh paling dominan adalah disiplin kerja.

            Hasil uji t secara partial memperlihatkan bahwa masing-masing variable bebas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap variable terikat, sebab nilai t hitung lebih besar dari t table. Hasil uji F secara simultan memperlihatkan bahwa seluruh variable bebas secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap variable terikat, sebab nilai F-hitung lebih besar dari nilai F-tabel.

Abstract

Nowadays we are served with so many sophisticated devices which can be used by the whole age. This study investigates the language acquisition of two years old toddler who is influenced by sophisticated devices. Toddler at that age cannot pronounce the word correctly but they are curious when seeing what adult do with sophisticate devices. Compare with other toddlers who has not influenced by sophisticated devices, toddler with the influenced by sophisticated devices tends to more aggressive and curious to do something which also influence her speaking, even though it is not clear enough. Sophisticated devices give some contribution in order to stimuli toddler’s language acquisition but parents should be aware when controlling their toddler. The technique of collecting data is observation. Through observing the object, the writer can see her development in language acquisition because her language acquisition also develops through using the sophisticated devices. Later, this situation hoped will give toddler easiness in their language acquisition in facing this globalization when they grow up.

Abstract

People were born in society with many different sides and many different backgrounds. We will deliver our idea in order to connect each other. Therefore we use language as the tool to think then understand and see the relation. In speaking we need to avoid the ambiguity whoever the language users, adults or children. Language should be introduced and practiced to children every day in their social life. Children are born with the Universal Grammar wired into their brains. This grammar offers a certain limited number of possibilities. This study is to see how maxim is used by second grade of elementary school students when asked about their ambition. The maxim that found in student’s answers’ is maxim of quantity.

f rom Engl i sh language. Indonesia language borrows some words
from other languages to enrich its words such as Sanskrit language,
Hindi-Urdu, Tamil, South China languages, Arabic, Persia, Portuguese,
Dutch, English, and local languages (Javanese, Sundanese,
Minangkabau, etc). This study described about the lexical borrowing
from English language to Indonesian language. The sounds
equivalent to Dutch language is applied toward the new words
which are borrowed from English language. Suffix in Indonesia
language is equivalent with the borrowed suffix from Dutch
language and also applied in the similar suffix meaning in
English language. There are some words from English language
which are not influenced by the borrowing words from Dutch
language because there is no word with the same spelling with
the words in Dutch language.

Abstract

 Language is the primary means of communication and has an expression and a great and informative. Language is needed by humans because human language can find a way to communicate their needs to each other. In communicating there are three levels of communications such as vocabulary, voice inflection, and nonverbal behaviour. Non-verbal communications include facial expressions, the tone and pitch of the voice, gestures displayed through body language (kinesics) and the physical distance between the communicators (proxemics). Non-verbal signals can give clues and additional information and meaning over and above spoken (verbal) communication. The preliminary of the data is the observation of a talk show video to see the communication between the speaker and listener. There are three levels of communications such as vocabulary, voice inflection, and nonverbal behaviour always involved in human communication. The three level of communication such as vocabulary, voice inflection, and nonverbal behaviour are found in Hitam Putih Talk show. But voice inflection is more dominant.

People have used to communicate and express his desire both verbal and non-verbal. Listening is an attempt to understand the other person talks and feelings you. Speaking and listening activities are communication dynamics. The elements in an effective listening include: attention, reflection, tolerance, capabilities and ability to understand. Talk show is a television show that is usually performed live that invited different guest stars backgrounds. Therefore, the talk show hosts should use qualified listening skills to be able to capture the story told properly and provide a number of clarifications to the regular viewers in order to get the message delivered by the guess. Therefore, the interactive listening skills In “Hitam Putih” Talk Show with Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa there are paraphrase the message, repeat the message, probe the message, clarify any point and remember the important points and those have different purpose.
